Terms of Service
Last updated: August 13, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of MoparVinEquipment.com (the “Site”) and any vehicle information, VIN decoding, factory equipment reports, sales-code information, and related digital services provided through the Site (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Site or purchasing a paid decode, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. About the Service
MoparVinEquipment.com provides vehicle-information tools focused on Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram vehicles. Depending on the VIN and available source records, the Service may provide vehicle identification information, factory equipment, sales codes, option packages, powertrain details, colors, trim, and other build-related information.
2. Paid VIN Equipment Decode
A paid Mopar VIN Equipment Decode costs US $4.99 per VIN.
The $4.99 charge is a one-time payment for one decode of one VIN. It is not a subscription and does not create recurring billing.
The paid decode provides the factory-equipment and vehicle information that is available to the Service for the submitted VIN at the time of the request. The amount and type of data can vary by vehicle, model year, market, and source availability.
A purchase does not guarantee that a particular option, package, sales code, field, original window sticker, MSRP, or specific number of equipment items will be available.
3. Payment Processing and Paddle
Payments are processed through Paddle, which acts as the authorized reseller and Merchant of Record for the digital product.
Your purchase transaction is processed by Paddle. Paddle may calculate and collect applicable taxes and may present its own buyer terms, privacy notice, and refund terms during checkout.
MoparVinEquipment.com does not receive or store your full payment-card number.
4. Delivery
The paid report is a digital product and is intended to be made available electronically after successful payment.
Delivery normally occurs immediately or shortly after payment confirmation. Temporary delays can occur because of network issues, upstream vehicle-data services, payment confirmation, or other technical conditions.
If payment succeeds but the paid report cannot be delivered because of a technical failure, please contact us using the contact information below.
5. Vehicle Data and Accuracy
Vehicle data can vary in completeness and terminology.
The Service may rely on factory vehicle services, standardized VIN-decoding sources, the Site’s own equipment/sales-code data, and other technical sources used to produce the result.
We make reasonable efforts to present the available information clearly, but we do not guarantee that every source record is complete, current, error-free, or applicable in exactly the same way to every vehicle.
A factory equipment record describes how a vehicle was recorded or configured at the time of production. It does not prove that the vehicle still contains all of the same equipment today.
6. Not a Vehicle History Report
The Service is not a title, accident, ownership, lien, theft, mileage, recall, or service-history report.
A paid decode does not tell you whether a vehicle has been damaged, rebuilt, stolen, flooded, modified, incorrectly repaired, or maintained properly.
For a vehicle purchase, use the Service together with appropriate title/history checks, physical inspection, service records, and a professional pre-purchase inspection when appropriate.
7. Parts, Repairs, Towing, and Safety
Information shown by the Service is for research and reference.
Do not rely on the Service as the sole source for safety-critical repairs, parts compatibility, towing limits, payload limits, recalls, or regulatory compliance.
For these purposes, verify the vehicle’s certification labels, production date, current physical configuration, existing part numbers, owner documentation, and official manufacturer/service information.
8. VIN Input
You are responsible for entering the correct VIN.
A modern VIN normally contains 17 characters. An incorrect character can cause an incorrect result, no result, or a result for a different vehicle.
You should confirm the VIN from a reliable source such as the windshield VIN plate, driver-side certification label, title, registration, insurance document, dealer listing, or auction listing.
9. Acceptable Use
You may use the Site and purchased reports for lawful personal or business vehicle research.
You may not:
- attempt to bypass payment or access controls;
- interfere with or overload the Site, APIs, or connected services;
- scrape, copy, mirror, or systematically extract the Site’s databases without written permission;
- resell or redistribute the Service as your own data product without permission;
- use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive activity;
- attempt to reverse engineer access controls or protected backend services.
We may restrict or block abusive automated access.
10. Intellectual Property
The Site’s original software, presentation, database organization, explanatory content, and other original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Vehicle manufacturers’ names, trademarks, model names, and related marks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the vehicles and equipment being discussed.
Your purchase grants you access to the purchased digital report for your own lawful use. It does not transfer ownership of the Site, software, database, or underlying intellectual property.
11. Third-Party Services
The Service may depend on third-party infrastructure and vehicle-information services.
Third-party services may experience outages, change their interfaces, limit availability, or return incomplete information. We are not responsible for failures outside our reasonable control, but we will make reasonable efforts to restore the Service or address a failed paid delivery.
12. Refunds
Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy.
Purchases processed through Paddle are also subject to Paddle’s applicable buyer and refund terms, including any mandatory consumer rights that apply in your country.
13. Privacy
Our handling of VINs, technical data, payment-related identifiers, and other information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Payment information is processed by Paddle under Paddle’s own privacy terms.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as available” basis.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, that every VIN will have a factory equipment record, or that every source field will be complete or free of errors.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable consumer law.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MoparVinEquipment.com is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses resulting from reliance on vehicle data, purchasing decisions, parts selection, modifications, towing decisions, or third-party service failures.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.
16. Changes
We may update the Service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date.
