What is a Mopar build sheet?

A build sheet is the factory's own record of how a specific vehicle was assembled. For Mopar / CDJR vehicles it lists the sales codes, option packages, trim, drivetrain, paint, and equipment the vehicle left the plant with.

It's the most reliable way to confirm how a used Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, or RAM was originally configured — far more dependable than a badge, a trim name, or a seller's description.

What the build sheet shows

The build sheet ties each factory sales code to the package or option it represents — appearance groups, trailering and towing equipment, axle ratios, interior materials, audio and technology, and safety features.

One package name can include several smaller features, so reading the build sheet carefully tells you what the vehicle actually carries, not just what the trim badge implies.

Standard vs. optional equipment

Standard equipment follows the trim or model; optional equipment reflects choices made when the vehicle was ordered. A build sheet makes the difference clear, which matters when two trucks or SUVs with the same model name feel very different in practice.

It also helps separate factory equipment from anything a dealer or previous owner added afterward — wheels, audio, badges, and accessories may have changed since delivery.

I am comparing configurations and one vehicle includes 5RR, described as “Bad Paint. This code identifies a factory paint color, stripe, badge, or exterior appearance treatment” Owners who have it, would you consider it useful and would you look for it again?

For a retrofit, check the modules, wiring connectors, software configuration, and compatible part numbers first. Installing the visible component alone may not make the feature operational.
